What problem do you strive to overcome?

Issues arise at every life stage and managing them can be overwhelming. What are you struggling with right now? Maybe you’re feeling hopeless, lost, stuck or confused. Something else? Uncertainty about best steps forward can increase your distress.

Deciding to work with a therapist might feel scary. I get that. And I know the feeling of relief and hope when a burden is shared. I can help.

I aim to provide a space where you feel safe, seen, and heard. Based on the changes you desire, we will co-create goals and action plans that are manageable and help you feel better.

Experience:

Jennifer is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. She treated clients ages 11 to 17 and their families at the Pepperdine Resource Youth Diversion and Education (PRYDE) program providing individual and group therapy. Additionally, she worked at The Shea Center for Therapeutic Riding as a mental health intern treating children, teens, and adults. Equine psychotherapy sessions included groundwork with a horse combined with CBT and mindfulness focused on addressing issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, developmental delays and more.

More than just my work:

The ocean always brings me back to a place of calm and ease. The sights, sounds, smells, and sun on my back bring me peace.

I have four children who are now all adults. They inspire me to try new things. I ran a half marathon after seeing one complete their first. I went back to school later in life after two earned their graduate degrees. I love lunch with a friend, reading a great novel, and any activity shared with family.
